About Me

My photo
They say a man's house is his castle, well for a woman it's a kingdom. We are in charge of shining the armor, feeding the battalion, oiling the drawbridge, banging the tapestries, emptying the chamber pots and driving the carriage. Not to mention we must look great while doing it. In this kingdom there are war days and there are peace days, but not matter what kind of day it is, it is full of blessings and lots and lots of photography.

Jason and I have been married for 20 years and have had a great time building our kingdom. We have four beautiful children that we share the kingdom with as well as one very large goldendoodle named Pilgrim. We love our life and are grateful everyday for the blessings we enjoy in our kingdom. If you are ever in the area please stop by and visit.

A Christmas Visitor

So much to my surprise last night I opened the door to step out for a moment...

That's right a bird flew in the door... I think he thought he had entered paradise. He was flying from tree to tree and garland to garland. I just kept praying that he wouldn't leave his mark anywhere. He even tried the tops of the cabinets in the kitchen but much preferred the Christmas trees. After about 10-15 minutes we finally got him to fly out of the kitchen door onto the deck. He was dazed but I think otherwise okay after his little adventure. The pictures at the end are just a few of the decorations I took while playing with the settings on my camera.

Love the bird, has it got a nest in the wreath on the front door or was it just looking for a place to nest. I think you should have sprayed it with hair spray and left it in place. Great decoration to go with the other great decorations you have. Everything looks great!
