About Me

My photo
They say a man's house is his castle, well for a woman it's a kingdom. We are in charge of shining the armor, feeding the battalion, oiling the drawbridge, banging the tapestries, emptying the chamber pots and driving the carriage. Not to mention we must look great while doing it. In this kingdom there are war days and there are peace days, but not matter what kind of day it is, it is full of blessings and lots and lots of photography.

Kingdom Wright

Jason and I have been married for 20 years and have had a great time building our kingdom. We have four beautiful children that we share the kingdom with as well as one very large goldendoodle named Pilgrim. We love our life and are grateful everyday for the blessings we enjoy in our kingdom. If you are ever in the area please stop by and visit.

The Homestead

So this last weekend Jason and I spent the night at this wonderful place here in VA called The Homestead. It is a very nice place located in a little valley in the Allegany Mountains. It has been there since 1766 and has all of the grandeur that they could use at the time. It has been updated I am sure many times and is currently undergoing a renovation of certain areas now.

Jason had been asked almost a year ago to speak at this event involving a sorority of teachers, mostly from the Virginia area but there were some there from as far away as New Mexico. It was a great opportunity in many ways.

These pics were all taken outside on the grounds of the resort area. First is the tower of the hotel, next is a view of the grounds looking out onto the golf course, next is one of the springs on the grounds, then another of the springs and last a pic of all the pretty little daffodils reminding us spring is on the way.
